Responsibilities
This position is responsible for collecting, organizing and disseminating information about community resources, housing options, educational opportunities, and entitlement programs to consumers and staff. This position is also responsible managing the Shelter Plus Care program, State Interim Housing grant, HUD grants, Supported Housing Funds. This includes maintaining grant databases (HMIS), collecting needed demographic information, and other required information for the grant reports and applications. The CSS Housing Resource Specialist is liaison with community agencies to facilitate coordination of housing service provision.
Job Requirements
Ability to build and maintain relationships with critical community agencies which serve common consumers. Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Access, and other data bases. Must possess good communication skills, good organization skills, and knowledge of community resources is preferred. Experience with persons with severe and persistent mental illness preferred. A valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is necessary, as the position requires transportation of consumers In addition, the individual must be 18 years of age or older and be able to pass DMV, KBI, SRS Child Abuse, and SRS Adult Abuse Registry checks.
Salary Range
$18.99 – $22.31 – $25.61
Hours
Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
