Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Corporate Development Director this position, builds relationships internally and externally and implements strategies with community-based organizations, worksites, and healthcare providers on the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). This position assists in planning, organizing and implementing interventions; health promotion and education programs through grant initiatives such as the Chronic Disease Risk Reduction (CDRR). This position manages Mental Health First Aid training for Shawnee County and conducts training classes when available. In addition, this position is involved in Impact Avenues and the Mobile Access Partnership providing mental health screenings, presentations, and educational support. In addition, this position serves to increase access to mental health for senior populations and those in the community underserved. Community exhibits, health fairs and community related projects are required for this position. Also, this position supports the efforts of the development department and performing duties that assist in fundraising efforts, marketing, and public relations as required.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Health Promotion, Health Education, Public Health, Community Health, Health Science or related field.

Valid Driver’s License and able to operate a County-owned vehicle (HR-2013-2).

Driving record that shows: No misdemeanor or felony convictions for traffic/vehicular offenses (DUI, vehicular homicide, reckless driving, hit and run, etc.) on the driving record that are less than five (5) years old; No more than two (2) at fault or chargeable accidents on their driving record that are less than five (5) years old; No more than two (2) traffic infractions (speeding, failure to yield right of way, etc.) that are less than one (1) year old.

Salary Range

$20.91 – $23.10 – $26.44
