Intake Services receives all requests for services and information with the goal of assisting the individual in obtaining needed mental health services in a timely manner. The client is an informed participant who actively takes part in and agrees to the final treatment recommendations. It is the objective of Intake Services to determine if Valeo Behavioral Health Care is the appropriate provider; if not, to refer the client to appropriate community resources.
Overview of Intake Services
An Intake is the starting point to receive outpatient behavioral health services at Valeo. During an Intake, a clinician will complete an initial mental health assessment to determine appropriate mental health services, and will make referrals after the completion of the assessment. Referrals may be made to individual and/or group therapy and medication evaluation. For those clients meeting eligibility requirements, referrals can also be made to case management services, psychosocial groups and employment and education services.
How to access an intake appointment

Access to Intake Services is on a walk-in basis. Clients are welcome to walk in between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm M-F to receive access to an intake. Appointments each day are scheduled in order of arrival until the day’s clinic is full.
