Responsibilities
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse functions in the role of a leader of primary care services in an integrated primary care clinic located within a community mental health center. The APRN manifests a high level of expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of health problems. He/she is an essential member of the care team who oversees the management of health problems and the coordination of health care for patients treated within the primary care clinic. With the Primary Care Clinic serving as a training site for APRN students, teaching responsibilities will be embedded within the APRN’s position.
Requirements
This position requires a graduate degree in nursing and a valid Kansas license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Certification in adult or adult geriatric preferred though will consider family nurse practitioner. APRN experience within an acute care facility or primary care required. Experience working with persons with mental illness and/or substance use disorders preferred though not required. Current Basic Life Support certification required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Knowledge of community resources (i.e., the medical and non-medical service delivery system) and strong documentation skills required. This position requires basic computer skills and the ability to lift at least twenty five pounds. Must be able to pass pre-employment background checks and State of Kanas Adult/Child Abuse Registries.

Salary Range
$60/hr.
Hours
Part Time- 24 hr. per week
